Friday’s Love Island (Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV) did not have us feeling very TGIF. Following the results of a vote by the public to choose their four favourite couples, Yamen and Aissata, Kyra and Canadian Eric, and Cashel and Katrina were up for elimination. The decision among the Islanders of who should leave was unanimous, with Cashel and Katrina given their 30 minutes before vacating the villa.
The episode ended with the group voting off Cashel and Katrina, a decision that we think hurt the remaining Islanders more than Cashel and Katrina. All the guys cried, with Dylan looking like he was going to throw up. (He actually may have puked.) While the guys were all distraught, including Canadian Eric, who hugged Cashel twice (rly tho?), it was Kyra who was unable to compose herself.
Kyra cried on the round couch, she cried in the bathroom, and we’re pretty sure she’s still crying. She dropped the first F-bomb on air and called herself a stupid B. Kyra doesn’t want to be in the villa without Cashel and we have to give Canadian Eric credit, because he was very understanding of Kyra’s reaction to Cashel leaving. As for Cashel, he gave Kyra a tiny Fender necklace as a parting gift, possibly because of their friendship, or possibly because he’s still hoping to have a shot with Kyra when the show is over. No man in Tevas has ever had as much game as Cash-money.
The fallout from Thursday’s Bingo is still fresh, with Dylan upset that there is now thinking behind Alexandra’s eyes. Alexandra is upset that her girlfriends aren’t letting her ignore all the red flags she wants to ignore. Twitter, amirite?
Weston, missing his bubble bath buddy, decides to tell Zac that he was more fun before he got together with Elizabeth. Literally the first thing Zac did on the show was stand next to Elizabeth. Literally. There was no “before Elizabeth.”
THAT AWKWARD MOMENT
Weston talking about how excited his dad will be that Kelsey is hot was…unnecessary.
WHO WE’RE SHIPPING
Even though the girls are trying to stir up some drama with Yamen, we think he’s committed to Aissata. Also, we’re still shocked with Dylan’s on-point response to the girls calling Yamen a player for moving on with Aissata after Christen was sent home. “What was he supposed to do?” Damn Dylan!
The bathroom is getting super gross, right?
