While comic books fans anxiously bite their fingernails and count down to the 2016 premiere date of Suicide Squad — the action-packed supervillian movie teaming full of notable Hollywood A-listers — some Canadians already have a front row seat to all the excitement.
The movie is being filmed in none other than Toronto and city dwellers have taken notice. Union Station is under Martial Law, parts of Bloor Street have been blown to smithereens and it’s Christmas in May, thanks to the villains.
Torontonians are pulling out their cameras to record these startling events and we’ve strung them all together to present a sneak peek at what Suicide Squad has in store for you:
1. Harley’s bat$*&% crazy
Bat in hand, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and her trusted bad guy buddies El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Deadshot (Will Smith) and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) are about to do some major damage on Bay Street.
Yep, there she goes. Don’t say we didn’t warn you:

2. There’s a huge plane crash
on Yonge Street

The number of casualties have yet to be determined.
3. The Joker’s bringing out the big guns
— CTV Toronto (@CTVToronto) May 26, 2015
No, seriously…why do the bad guys (i.e. The Joker) have the prettiest rides?
4. Batman returns
— Lindsay (@Steele131) April 28, 2015
We’re not bluffing. That’s really Bruce Wayne on set.

Try as hard as they might, production wasn’t able to hide the fact that Batman shows up. (We can totally see the outline of his mask, duh!) Torontonians have also reportedly spotted the Batmobile causing havoc around town so Mr. Wayne does indeed make a cameo.
5. He’s street racing against The Joker
— Renesha Monaco (@Monaco2024) May 26, 2015
Yep, that’s good ol’ Joker being chased by Batman in his Batmobile down a very dark and dreary
Yonge Gotham City street. We wonder who won the race…
6. Crocpot’s on the loose
Or maybe our boy Batman’s in town because his adversary Killer Croc (pictured top left) has popped up out of Gotham’s sewers once again. They’re totally going to battle it out.
7. Gotham’s on fire
Damaged cars, overturned trucks, small pockets of fire popping up everywhere? Yep, that’s good old
Union Station Gotham folks.
8. Guess who emerges from the hot mess?
Harley and her band of not-so-merry men (on Lakeshore Boulevard).
9. It’s a Christmas story…Kind of
— Ryan (@LazerShow530) April 30, 2015
It looks like Deadshot is doing some last minute Christmas shopping with his daughter so clearly it’s December in Gotham. Despite the chilly weather, we’re sure things are about to heat up.
10. Harley gets stuck…
She doesn’t have any superpowers so is it any wonder that Harley got trapped on top of a car while out in the rain on Bay Street? We hope someone rescues her soon…
11. Romance is in the air
Here comes Deadshot who literally sweeps Harley off her feet. Supervillians aren’t the most romantic beings on the planet so this is a pretty big move. We can’t wait to see how their love story plays out.
And there you have it. Pretty cool, right? If you’re worried that all of these “spoilers” are going to ruin your viewing experience once it comes out, don’t stress too much. The movie’s director David Ayer says there’s so much more we don’t know:
Well we survived the streets. Time to go dark now. Remember, only the tiniest glimpse has been exposed. Our surprises are intact.

Ahhhh, we’re so excited… Aren’t you?
