You're probably very well-versed in The Meghan Effect by now since and it’s been happening ever since Meghan Markle's relationship with Prince Harry hit the news cycle.

Essentially, the minute the Duchess of Sussex, much like her sister-in-law Kate, wears anything, it flies off the shelves and much to our patriotic delight, Markle often chooses Canadian designers for her official appearances.

But she arguably made the biggest splash wearing a LINE coat for her engagment photos with Harry, released a year ago today. The Toronto-based label, known for its knitwear and coats, experienced a flurry of excitement over her choice and renamed the coat The Meghan in her honour, but this isn't her first time showing the brand some love.

Herewith, a timeline of Meghan Markle wearing LINE leading up to the engagement photos.

October 2016: The Curtis Open-Knit Cardigan

This shot was originally posted on Markle’s own Instagram account, but since she deleted all her social media in January of this year, you’ll just have to trust us.

December 2016: The Mara Coat

This blush version is just one of the three Mara coats Markle owns, and two years ago, she was snapped wearing it while running errands in Toronto.

December 2016: The Tessa Coat

Two hits in one month, LINE got more love from the former Suits star when she chose this cocoon coat to keep her warm, pre-yoga.

February 2017: The Mara Coat, again

And here’s her black Mara coat, all the way in London with then-rumoured boyfriend, Prince Harry.

September 2017: The Draped Trench Coat

While supporting Prince Harry at the closing ceremony for last year's Invictus Games (where the couple made their very first public appearance in Toronto), Markle went with light layers, topping her outfit off with this classic trench.

November 2017: The Meghan Coat, formerly known as Mara

So honoured to see Meghan Markle wearing our coat for her official engagement to Prince Harry.

When Markle chose the white version of the Mara coat for her engagement photo call, it literally sold out in minutes, and the brands’ founder renamed it for its most famoust wearer in March.

November 2017: The Franklin Leather Jacket

Like her soon to be sister-in-law #katemiddleton Meghan has enviable style. Here she is christmas shopping November 21 in London. . While out doing some holiday shopping in London, Markle was spotted in this slouchy leather jacket, also from the brand.

Though LINE doesn't do maternity clothing - yet! - we don't think we've seen the last of the Duchess and the coats.
