Now that the PanAm Games are over and done in Canada, all eyes are on the Special Olympics. At least, they are if you’re a watcher of sports or a Belieber who follows a certain pop star on Twitter.

Justin Bieber is continuing to make good in public following all of the times he got egg on his face from embarrassing spats with the law, this time by taking to the social media site to egg on sports fans.

“Let’s go Canada!” he chants in a 10-second video with the Special Olympics team before the opening ceremony last Saturday, pumping them up to meet the crowd at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

This is so much better than allowing yourself to be roasted by a bunch of comedians (although yes, we totally watched that too.) And to be honest, we wish we’d see THIS side of Biebs a lot more often. So much so that we’re even willing to forgive the typo in his Tweet.

After all, what’s more inspiring than cheering on a crowd of Special Olympians? One hundred and fourteen of them, to be exact. That’s how many Canadians are participating in this year’s events, and they clearly enjoyed the boost from the “As Long as You Love Me” singer.

The thing is, this isn’t the first time Biebs has warmed our hearts with positive antics. Last year he won the Champ of Charity Award at the Young Hollywood Awards, thanks to his record-breaking volunteer time helping out the Make-a-Wish Foundation. (And to make it even better, he gave the award to a 10-year-old kid with cancer right on stage when he won it.)

We’ll also get to see Biebs making a difference to a much-deserving family on the upcoming Ryan Seacrest series Knock Knock Live. That’s all going down Tuesday night. In the meantime, let’s all send positive vibes to Team Canada, and hope that we see more of THIS side of Justin Bieber in the near future.
