Adam Driver to star in sci-fi thriller '65' from 'A Quiet Place' writers and producer Sam Raimi
From Star Wars to Marriage Story Adam Driver has no shortage of accolades and impressive roles to pad his Hollywood résumé and thankfully, it looks like he isn’t planning on slowing down anytime soon. As studios continue to green-light a seemingly endless list of exciting projects in the works for both TV and film, Sony has announced a sci-fi thriller, titled 65, with Driver at the helm.
Although plot details are still mostly under wraps, Driver will reportedly play a man who survives a catastrophic accident (of what nature, we aren’t yet sure.) Driver's character is one of two survivors; the other being a 9-year-old girl who speaks a different language, and the two must work together to survive.
The project is certainly in good hands, with Deadline reporting that A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods will write and direct the film. Sam Raimi will produce.

Driver has been exceptionally busy this year, and is currently finishing up filming for Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel which, like many other projects, was delayed due to COVID-19.
Adding to his ever-growing roster, Driver has also signed on to co-star in the upcoming Gucci film alongside Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Jared Leto, and of course, LadyGaga. And, in case that wasn’t enough, Driver is also set to star in Yankee Comandante, a new film by Jeff Nichols, said to be filming in 2021.
Clearly, Driver is a popular man in Hollywood — and for good reason. The actor, who first caught the attention of fans with his role as Adam alongside Lena Dunham in Girls, has since then taken on a number of roles that earned him praise from audience members and critics alike, including two Oscar nominations for 2019's Marriage Story and 2018's BlaKkKlansman. And of course, Star Wars fans know him as Kylo Ren, playing the villain in the latest sequel trilogy, ending with 2019's The Rise of Skywalker.
