It’s not uncommon for aspiring singers and actors to put on shows for their parents and friends, but when your dad is Adam Sandler, that show includes some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Plus, you get to meet the artist whose song you’re covering, which in this case is Taylor Swift. We can relate to approximately 3 per cent of this story.Sunny (10) and Sadie (13) Sandler had a big weekend, with the daughters of comedian and former SNL cast member Adam Sandler spending Saturday night in New York with their parents to see musical guest Taylor Swift perform “False God” and “Lover” on SNL. The family then jetted back to the West Coast, where they attended a fundraiser on Sunday that was spearheaded by Adam Sandler. The Rock4EB! fundraiser featured Sandler and Eddie Vedder as the headliners, with the charity event raising money for the debilitating disease epidermolysis bullosa (EB).In video captured by The Hollywood Reporter’s Chris Gardner, the Sandler daughters are shown joining their dad on stage to perform Taylor Swift’s latest single “Lover.” Speaking to the crowd, the comedian told the crowd "They've been so excited and nervous," adding that the family had just returned from watch SNL side stage in New York. "That was a big night, man. Taylor Swift? Holy shit." Telling the A-list attendees that the song choice was a big one for his daughters, Sandler added that “Lover” is "one of their favorite songs — we play this all the time in the car, me and mommy and the two kids."Joining their dad halfway through his one-hour set, which included stand up and musical performances from his recent Netflix special 100% Fresh, the sisters did a great job performing Swift’s emotional ballad, even putting their own spin on the song by replacing the word "Christmas" with "Hanukkah" for the opening line “We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January.” We expect nothing less from the Sandler family. The performance earned the sisters a standing ovation from the crowd and praise from their famous dad. "Thank you for being so nice to them," said Sandler. "They were dying to be a part [of the show]. Girls, you did great! Sounded awesome — confident and cool. I love you, now get out of here."The charity event was held at the Malibu home of Brillstein-Entertainment partner Marc Gurvitz and featured a guest list that included Julia Roberts, Sean Penn, Courteney Cox, Kaley Cuoco, Rami Malek, Judd Apatow, Leslie Mann, Maude Apatow, Elizabeth Olsen, David Spade, Catherine Keener, Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber, Kaia Gerber, Bill Maher, John McEnroe, Catherine O'Hara, Kim Basinger, Catherine Bell, Amy Smart, Soleil Moon Frye and more. In addition to the Sandler sisters, the evening’s performance featured another duet, this time between dad Adam Sandler and Vedder, who performed Pete Townshend’s “Let My Love Open The Door.”
