Hints, gossip, and rumours have been swirling all summer that Clare’s season of The Bachelorette would abruptly come to an end partway through and that Tayshia Adams would intercede mid-season to take over for her. Neither ABC, The Bachelorette, or even Clare or Tayshia have once hinted or admitted to this rumour (Clare even flat out denied it!)... until last night during the week 4 sneak peak, when suddenly, out of the water emerged a mirage. No wait, that’s no mirage, that’s Tayshia! They lied to us! The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise alum is here to save the day! After a ludicrous two-hour episode that saw Clare ignore men left, right and centre (‘cept for Dale of course... we’ll get to that. Trust us, we have thoughts!) and even send a couple home outside of a rose ceremony, things started to reach a fever pitch by the last minute (are the men unionizing?). In the next episode preview, we hear Canadian Blake saying, “What the f*** just happened?!” and host Chris Harrison responding, “We have never dealt with anything like this in the history of our show.” When one man asks, “What is next?”Tayshia, that’s what’s next fellas!
Yes, Bachelor Nation, the Bachelorette you've been waiting for HAS ARRIVED. Dannng. Tayshia is the prophecy foretold to us, brethren. Behold! How did we get to this reveal? Welp fam, this episode was another example of Clare having absolute tunnel vision (Dale, Dale, Dale!) and basically not giving her harem of men a fair shot. Throughout the episode, we saw her on a date with Zach J., vocally wishing she was with Dale. During a group date, she and Dale disappeared for 45 minutes to an hour to canoodle, much to the remaining men’s chagrin. She even at one point, when speaking to a producer, called Dale her “fiancé.”To which, of course, Twitter had thoughts. So we think we can safely assume based on how the first three episodes have transpired that Clare is inexplicably head over heels with Dale and doesn’t even really want to give the other men the time of day. She sent home Zach J. after an awkward kiss-that-didn’t-happen, she refused to give out a rose during a group date because she “didn’t really get” what she needed there (whatever that means), and all she could think about during The Bachelorette roast was how every guy poked fun at Dale. Can we just stop for a minute to say that somehow our comedy queen whom we hail forever Margaret Cho was at the roast and somehow took a backseat to all of this Clare/Dale drama? You know you got major drama on your hands when Margaret Cho isn’t in the headline![video_embed id='2063757']MORE FROM TV: Adele's first time hosting 'SNL' wasn't without controversy [/video_embed]So it’s obvious that fans, viewers, and the men alike are getting sick of Clare wasting everyone’s time when it’s obvious she just wants Dale. We’d like to hazard a guess that next week Chris Harrison and the producers step in to tell Clare she has to exit stage left so that the remaining men get a fair shot. Enter stage right—Tayshia.Of course, we cannot forget that epic bust-up with Yosef at the top of the episode, which also divided viewers. Yosef took major issue with the strip dodgeball game from last week, and he totally lost his cool with Clare, saying he was “appalled” and ashamed to even be associated with her.
Here’s the thing—he was super rude and disrespectful; especially when as he was leaving, as he cat-called her “the oldest Bachelorette.” Total jabroni. But shockingly, some fans, despite his gross behaviour, thought he was making sense. So despite being strong, tough, mature, beautiful and witty, Clare just isn’t winning the hearts of minds of anyone this season.
