Alec Baldwin may currently be best known for his impression of Donald Trump — something he never wants to do again — but aside from his skills as both a dramatic and comedic actor, he's also become quite the family man in recent years. And turns out, he and his wife want to add to that family.Alec met Hilaria Thomas in August 2011 and their relationship moved along quickly, with the pair getting engaged eight months later and married by the end of June 2012. They welcomed their first child, daughter Carmen, a little over a year later, then gave Hilaria's uterus a bit of a break before having three more in quick succession. And now it's time to try for another. Baldwin was on Kevin Nealon's series Hiking With Kevin and revealed that they want more children. "We have four kids," Baldwin told Nealon. "She wants to have another one. We're having another one. We're going to have a fifth baby." When asked if Hilaria is pregnant, Alec replied, "No. No, no, not that I know of."The family of six was chugging along but this past April when Hilaria revealed some sad news: she miscarried her fifth child. The photo of Alec, Hilaria and their four children — Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo and Romeo — looked like a typical one, but the caption was anything but. The yoga instructor wrote, "There was no heartbeat today at my scan…so it's over…but I have some pretty strong and amazing heartbeats right here." She added that she is "surrounded by such love" and feels "so fortunate," then thanked fans for their support and chiming in with their own personal stories. "We are stronger together…I hope this conversation continues to grow and that we stick together through both the beautiful and challenging moments in life."
Those sad yet hopeful words came a few days after she revealed in an even more heartbreaking post that she was "most likely experiencing a miscarriage." Hilaria has always been open throughout her pregnancies so she wasn't going to stop sharing, no matter how tragic. She obviously found it helpful, even therapeutic to share her story, and if so, why not? Whatever helped ease the pain of the loss. It should be something women talk about with each other rather than suffer in silence. It's an uncomfortable subject, but with so many women in the world who have experienced the same thing, it's nice to find some comfort knowing that. All that being said, it's not stopping Hilaria and Alec from trying again. Will they stop at five and be able to form their own basketball team, or try for more of a soccer squad-sized fam? Alec, who shares 23-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin with ex-wife Kim Basinger, might have something to say about it. He told Nealon he could use more money to take care of his brood when he's long gone so, hey, as long as he's got that, they should be fine.
