Imagine this — you’ve been dating someone new for a month and a half. You’re well past the second, third, and fourth date, and honestly… things are going great. So great, in fact, you think this person might be the one. Only, you haven’t kissed yet.In fact, your potential beau keeps shaking your hand at the end of each date… It may sound far-fetched, but according to Alec Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, this was precisely the beginning of their love story. On a pre-recorded episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show, Alec assumed guest hosting duties and welcomed his wife on stage for an interview. Dressed in a striking red suit, Hilaria greeted her husband with a beaming smile and, following the handshake he offered her, informed the audience “Do you guys know that he shook my hand for six weeks and didn’t kiss me when we met?”
The writer and podcast co-host went on to explain, “He would tell me all these things about like, ‘I’m going to marry you. I’m going to spend the rest of my life with you. We’re going to have a ton of kids,’ and then he would shake my hand at the end of the night.”[video_embed id='1926989']ALSO: Sophie Turner blasts Evangeline Lilly over not self-isolating.[/video_embed]In Alec’s defence, he claimed he simply didn’t want to give his wife-to-be the wrong impression. And while it may not be a common tactic in the modern dating realm, it clearly worked (you got a good one, Alec). And the pair definitely have palpable chemistry, as members of the audience were eager to pick their brains on their relationship, sex life, and parenting methods.Alec and Hilaria tied the knot back in 2012, and have welcomed four children. They also happen to be 20 years apart in age, not that it seems to matter one bit. In fact, one of the first questions they fielded from the audience was “Does the age difference between the two of you affect the way you parent?”, to which Hilaria was quick to respond with a reference to her millennial status.“Yes. Because I’m a millennial, so I heard all those things you were saying about millennials, and we will talk later”, she replied giving her husband a sideways smirk. Honestly, we were all waiting for the “OK Boomer” reference, but this will do.She also gave her husband some serious props when an audience member asked how they make time for each other intimately (you know, with four kids and all). “He said to me when we had our first, he said, ‘Not only are you going to be my wife and the mother of our child, but you’re my girlfriend. You’re always going to be my girlfriend.’ And so we relate to each other like that. Our banter, we’re always flirting,” she shared. “Now, in terms of timing, you just gotta find time and you have to make it a priority because people have needs.” Well, damn. Alec and Hilaria are #CoupleGoals. Oh, and according to her Instagram, they definitely aren’t social distancing from each other.
