McDonald’s is known for its Big Mac and McChicken (OK, OK, the McChicken sauce) but for the past 10 years, east coasters have also had the McLobster. Finally, the fast-food giant has heard customers’ cries and for the first time ever, the rest of the country gets in on the glorious, buttery lobster action.

As part of the chain’s Great Canadian Taste Adventure, the McLobster will be available for the rest of June joining the other “regional flavours” deemed worthy in the summer promotion: cottage country chicken (Ontario), maple and bacon poutine (Quebec), the Western BBQ burger (Alberta) and a chocolate nanaimo sundae (B.C.).

The McLobster, which McDonald’s claims features 100 per cent Canadian Atlantic lobster meat, a celery, lemon-flavoured mayonnaise-style sauce and shredded lettuce on a bun, is available until June 30, or while supplies last. Priced at $7.49 CDN plus tax, get one of their $1 drinks, and that’s what we call a deal.
