For a while there, we were concerned for Amanda Bynes, and rightfully so. What first appeared as attention-grabby behaviour soon became a real worry. Questions arose after various incidents and run-ins with the law (like being photographed smoking marijuana in her car and lighting small fires in her neighbour’s driveway). We were all relieved to see Bynes eventually undergo mental health therapy.

Approximately a year ago, she came out of the woodwork and was not only charged with her second DUI, but she went on a Twitter rant — for which she later apologized — accusing her dad of abuse.

Fingers crossed that this time’s the charm. Bynes, who quit acting to focus on a career in fashion, is going back to school at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Amanda first enrolled at FIDM in early 2014, but stopped attending classes that fall, shortly before she was placed on a psychiatric hold for several weeks. Now she is back at the L.A. campus, ready to learn.

“We are all so proud of her, and can’t wait to see her amazing designs on the runway someday,” Bynes’ parents’ lawyer Tamar Arminak, told Us Weekly.

Over the summer, Bynes made a rare public appearance looking happy, healthy and talking fashion, which is exactly what we want to hear from her.

We’re glad she’s back. Wishing you all the best, Amanda!
