For celebrities, keeping baby news a secret can be difficult - especially if they have a penchant for high-profile eateries and grocery stores. But the ongoing global pandemic and worldwide quarantine measures have made it significantly easier to keep pregnancies on the down-low. For actors Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski, the couple managed to make it the whole 10 months (yes, it’s 10) without being detected, and on Monday the proud parents got to make the surprise announcement that they have welcomed a baby boy. Congratulations on both your little bundle of joy and being really, really good at keeping secrets!Sadoski and Seyfried made the announcement on their respective Instagram pages and used the news to encourage their followers to donate to War Child and the International Network for Aid, Relief and Assistance (INARA). “Thomas and I made a little man,” wrote Seyfried before sharing the couple’s official statement along with an image of their very, very little man looking peaceful and sleepy.“Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives,” wrote Seyfried and Sadoski in their joint statement. “With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star.”The actors, who are both board members on War Child and INARA, asked their followers to set up monthly donations to the charities, which provide life-saving assistance to children and their families around the world. That does seem much better than giving the new parents a diaper cake.

Seyfried and Sadoski met while filming The Last Word in 2016 and began dating that year. The couple were married in March 2017 and welcomed their daughter Nina only a few days after their wedding. In August, Seyfried appeared on John Molner’s YouTube series Molner’s Table via People and talked about life during quarantine. The actor revealed that she and her husband have been staying in their farmhouse in upstate New York with their daughter and Seyfried’s mother, whom the actor calls the ‘third parent.’ "My mom lives with us. She's our nanny," said Seyfried. "My life is awesome because she is the third parent for us. I am so lucky. I know I am. So, when my daughter gets up, she either comes in our room or she goes downstairs and if we're still sleeping it's great, because she can hang out with my mom. She wakes up early."

Seyfried admitted that she misses several aspects of being in New York City, where the family typically resides, but acknowledged how fortunate her family is to have a home in a rural setting with lots of space as the pandemic continues. "These days, it's been me waking up and going downstairs and drinking coffee and hanging out with my daughter and then Tommy feeding the animals. And you know what? Our family's still together," added Seyfried, touching on the difficulties that the pandemic has placed on relationships.Seyfried and Molner, who is married to journalist Katie Couric, also discussed the recent reunion of the cast of The Parent Trap, which was orchestrated by Couric and included an appearance from Seyfried’s Mean Girls co-star Lindsay Lohan. Seyfried, who played a member of the high school Plastics clique, said that she was open to a Mean Girls reunion. “Lacey (Chabert) and I keep in touch,” said Seyfried, adding that she has also remained close with Daniel Franzese (Damian) and Jonathan Bennett (Aaron). “Jonathan has been getting people together for certain charity events over the years. He’s been kind of the glue. But it would be really nice,” said Seyfried on a possible reunion. Katie Couric, please make this happen.
