Beauty has no age limit in the eyes of Tyra Banks. The supermodel just announced her return as host of America’s Next Top Model for Cycle 24, and in doing so, has tossed the show’s age limit in the trash.

Talk about a slam dunk.

In a social media post over the weekend, Banks put out a call for women of all ages to apply for the wildly entertaining TV series. The only things you have to be able to do, according to 43-year-old model, are “smize” (smiling with your eyes, which, might we add is way easier than it sounds!) and grow as a model. Oh, and hold American citizenship, an important detail for those of us Canadians who just got lost daydreaming about our possible modelling career.

“You want to audition for America’s Next Top Model? I don’t care how old you are, honey,” Banks said in a video uploaded to Twitter. “You just need to know how to smize and be open to learning how to work the runway like a supermodel.”

In the video, Banks explains that she was tired of having people ask her about the show’s age limit, which was previously capped at 27 years old.

Now anyone over 18 and an American citizen can apply for the show simply by emailing in some headshots. We’re very much looking forward to seeing the models. And you can bet this will bring a whole new dimension to the dynamics between contestants and the judges.

The show has shaken up the application process before, with certain cycles accepting shorter women, male models, and even British women. But nixing the age limit is probably the most statement-making step yet. It sends a strong message that beauty doesn’t suddenly expire the second we blow out the candles on our 30th birthday cake.

It’s safe to say that our fav emerging fashion trend for 2017 isn’t a specific pattern or a certain silhouette, but beauty at any age. We’ve already watched designer Dries Van Noten fill his Paris runway with 30- and 40-year-old models, and Interview feature 58-year-old Michelle Pfeiffer on its April cover this year.

Cycle 24 of ANTM will be produced this summer, and we can’t wait to see Tyra lead another fierce season.
