Summer’s on its way out, and lattes of the pumpkin spice variety are now officially acceptable to drink. But, until all the leaves turn colour and the wind starts to slowly howl, we’ll be in transition mode. Yes, pre-fall is a thing and the stars are already beginning to embrace it.
Amy Adams and Jude Law rocked the pre-fall look so effortlessly while at film festivals this week. If put side-by-side, they’d look like the perfect pair. What? Look at them! Amy with her dark-wash jeans and Jude with his oversized jacket and trousers. Beau-ti-ful.
As for the other celebs on the red carpet, Bridget Jones is BACK, the combined beauty of Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender help us get over our pressing jealousy and can anyone recommend a good tailor for Ashley Greene?

Ellie Goulding
There’s something about this Marchesa look that’s totally awkward, no? It’s like Ellie was going for a bit of an edgy Swan Lake affair, and ending up looking like an adolescent duckling that’s not used to its wingspan yet.

Renee Zellweger
Renee made a triumphant return to the world of Bridget Jones (this time for Bridget Jones’s Baby) in Schiaparelli. We think she looked incredible. Do we think the third movie will be winning Oscars? Nope, but we’re still kind of excited about it.

Colin Firth
Oh be still our beating hearts, for Mr. Darcy continues to be ridiculously handsome. How could Bridget even THINK of anyone else when he’s in her line of sight? We love how dapper Colin looked on the red carpet as he promoted the latest Bridget Jones installment and we DARE anyone to disagree.

Amy Adams
This look reminds us that fall is our FAVOURITE fashion season. Here’s Amy at the Telluride Film Festival in a look we will 100 per cent be re-creating in October. Love everything about this.

Ashley Greene
ENOUGH WITH THE ONE SHOULDER THING also, does Ashley NOT know anyone who could hem her pants for her? She chose this Soloni look to promote In Dubious Battle during the Venice Film Fest. And we don’t like it.

Jude Law
We pretty much swooned when we spotted this photo of Jude promoting The Young Pope during the Venice Film Festival. Is it formal? Casual? It’s somewhere in between and we CAN’T GET ENOUGH. So handsome.

Chloe Grace
We’re big fans of the Erdem flower garden Chloe wore to the Deauville American Film Festival. Feminine and ethereal, the dress looked beautiful on her and would also look nice in our closet.

Naomi Watts & Liev Schreiber
The couple looked very glam during their red carpet Venice Film Festival appearance. He was in Burberry, she was in Elie Saab Couture and both were gorgeous.

Emma Stone
We’re enamoured of the Atelier Versace dress Emma wore to promote La La Land during the Venice Film Festival. It’s very Game of Thrones Princess-y, don’t you think? And we mean that in the best way.

Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender
OK, for the longest time we were jealous of this relationship because we felt like Michael should be our boyfriend. But the more we see these two promote The Light Between Oceans together, the more we come to terms with things. These two seem so in love and they’re so beautiful together, we’ll get over our jealousy and just enjoy it. We also enjoy Alicia’s intriguing Louis Vuitton dress which is half Little House on the Prairie and half magical metallic gown. He looked handsome, as always.
