It was just over a week ago that Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry revealed they are expecting their first child. They made the announcement via a statement from Kensington Palace, which was tweeted to the masses. Sigh, what a glorious day. And now it’s Amy Schumer‘s turn to make us squeal with delight. That’s right, the actress-comedian shared the happy news that she and husband Chris Fischer are having a baby, the only way she knows how–hilariously and politically.
Now, if you read the caption, Schumer doesn’t actually spill anything. But it’s the photo, of her and Fischer’s heads Photoshopped on Meghan and Harry’s bodies, specifically one where Megs is cradling her bump, that will have you chuckling. But, in reality, it’s serious stuff. By directing curious fans, looking for pregnancy confirmation, to former CNN White House correspondent Jessica Yellin‘s Instagram page, it was not only a savvy move to encourage people to vote but was also used to identify the candidates Amy endorses.
But in case you missed Yellin’s Instagram Story, she tweeted it out, just for good measure.

But it wasn’t all politics. Schumer, who was arrested earlier this month during a protest against Brett Kavanaugh‘s Supreme Court nomination, told the L.A. Times in a statement, “Chris and I are thrilled and almost positive he’s the father. I look forward to competing with Markle every step of the way.”
