Oh, baby.

It was just last week that Jessica Simpson took to social media to share with the world her significant weight loss after having daughter Birdie six months ago. It took Amy Schumer nearly a week to respond but she has a young baby of her own, so you know, priorities. But sometimes it takes a week to come up with the perfect reply. That came through a photo Amy posted of herself and her sister, Kim Caramele, in swimsuits on the beach with the caption, "Ok Simpson! Well ive lost 10 pounds and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker." Schumer added the hashtags #norush to further emphasize her point, along with the shady #givememymoneybackkim" to her sis. But you have to love how Amy expressed her thoughts and shared her own journey with her trademark humour AND without any shaming directed at Jess. Because what may work for some moms don't work for others and, in this case, while Simpson wanted to get healthy quick, Schumer is just enjoying her time and either isn't putting that pressure on herself. And because both women have wild senses of humour, Simpson took it all in stride, knowing it was all said in good fun, with a response to Amy's cheeky post that couldn't have been better: "You're hot. Size only matters when it comes to men," and added a winking emoji.

ICYMI, Jess posted that she lost 100 pounds in six months, revealing that she "tipped the scales at 240" while pregnant with her third child. Along with the caption were two photos, one featuring just her and the other where she's holding the baby responsible for that weight gain. According to People, Jessica "set a goal and she went for it" because "she had a hard time not feeling like herself." But, if anything, it serves as a reminder that women and new moms should do whatever feels right. Ain't no shame in someone else's game.
Schumer and husband Chris Fischer welcomed their son, Gene, in May while Jessica had her third baby with Eric Johnson in January. Amy has chronicled her journey with Gene (and, occasionally, Chris) over the last five months including the beauty of breastfeeding, couch snuggles and hikes with baby. But Amy's latest post, with no jokes in sight, might be the best.
