The nominees for the 2015 MMVAs have officially been announced, and, no surprise here, our country’s hippest R&B crooner, The Weeknd, leads the pack with six (count ’em, six!) nominations, including “Video of the Year,” “Most Buzzworthy Canadian” and the “Fan Fave Award.”

Young Toronto pop star Sam Mendes comes in second, raking in four nominations, while MMVA co-host, Ed Sheeran, and Montreal rockers Arcade Fire are tied for third with three nods each. All four of the top nominees are also set to perform live at the big show (Sunday, June 21 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Much). Consider us there.

We’re not going to tell you who we’re rooting for, ’cause that wouldn’t be right now would it?
