As we head into the end of the year, there are plenty of “best and worst” lists to keep us busy. Best and worst fashions of the years, television programs, actors, looks, styles and more. But when Pantone – the authority when it comes to colour trends –predicts a colour of the year heading into 2016, well let’s just say we’re going to take notice.
This year, the company has named two colours of the year, revealed through a series of Instagram photos and a clever street art campaign taking place on Thursday in Miami, Los Angeles and New York.
That’s right, Rose Quartz and Serenity, a classic but updated pink-and-blue colour combo will be the colours of the year in the coming months. To give us a little inspiration and idea of just how beautiful this combination can be, Pantone has hired three artists in conjunction with Crewest Studios to create art across those aforementioned cities. The creations of @Marka_27, @W3rc and @ManOneArt are being unveiled online at their Instagram accounts throughout the day, creating quite a colourful event.
