Angelina Jolie may be best known for her acting, directing and humanitarian work ( possibly not in that order), but in the midst of all that, she also finds the time to take on the odd modelling gig. And it’s those modelling jobs, according to Celebitchy, that have funded many, if not all, of her charities.
Us Weekly‘s Stylish is reporting that Jolie has signed on to be the face of Guerlain Parfumeur’s new fragrance for women. Mon Guerlain is set to hit beauty counters this spring.
It was in 2015 — while Jolie was in Cambodia directing her fourth movie, First They Killed My Father — that Guerlain approached her about co-creating a signature scent. Guerlain happened to be one of her late mother’s favourite brands so, while bittersweet, it was a partnership made in heaven.
What’s best, though, is that Angelina’s donating 100 per cent of her salary to charity, reports Stylish.
“We create perfumes for the women we admire,” Jacques Guerlain said in a press release. The scent, he said, was meant to express the idea of the “notes of a woman.” Who better than Jolie, who is all woman, to represent it?
Mon Guerlain is the brand’s first major perfume deal with a celebrity spokesperson. Arguably, there’s no one more famous than Angelina. Quite the coup for Guerlain — and whatever charity is on the receiving end of Jolie’s generosity.
