We hear you, loud and clear, Angelina
Angelina Jolie brought two of her kids, Zahara and Shiloh, to the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, where she won the best villain award for Maleficent. Her kids were ecstatic and couldn’t have looked more proud — and that was before Ange had even spoke. She told the audience that she was different as a child, but learned to see it as a strength.
“Different is good. So, don’t fit in. Don’t sit still. Don’t ever try to do less than you are. When somebody tells you you’re different, smile and hold your head up high and be proud. And as you’re villain, I would also say — cause a little trouble. It’s good for you.”
This was Jolie’s first public appearance since she revealed the removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes last week and just like then her message was heard loud and clear. A true inspiration.
Another beauty enters the world
Supermodel Coco Rocha and husband James Conran are officially parents. The couple announced on Saturday the arrival of their daughter.
And she already has her very own Instagram account. Congrats! For many reasons.
Two of music’s biggest stars are now BFFs. Madonna performed “Ghosttown” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday with none other than Taylor Swift backing her up on guitar. Madge was all about sharing the stage but Taylor could barely contain her excitement. Love this!

Justin Timberlake also got emotional as he gave his pregnant wife Jessica Biel a special shout-out as he accepted the innovator award. Calling her his “best friend and favourite collaborator,” JT went on to say, “I can’t wait to see our greatest creation yet. Daddy’s heading home right now to innovate and learn how to change a poopy diaper and get my swaddle on!” Aw.
No balls were deflated during Tom Brady’s latest stunt
New England Patriot’s quarterback Tom Brady was on vacation with his family in Costa Rica when someone told him to jump off a cliff. So he did.
The Rock gives Bambi a furious makeover
Dwayne Johnson hosted Saturday Night Live and the only thing that was more impressive than his physique was his comic timing. But he also proved what a good sport he is when he took on the titular role in SNL‘s action reboot of Disney’s Bambi.
Johnson was packing some heat as the now-grown-up deer looking to avenge his mother’s death. Also along for the ride were Thumper (Taran Killam as Vin Diesel), Flower (Jay Pharoah as Tyrese Gibson) and Faline (Cecily Strong as Michelle Rodriguez). Despite all the deer puns (or perhaps because of them all), we can see Disney greenlighting this project any day now.
