It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Angelina Jolie on the big screen, and it looks like her Hollywood hiatus may be finally coming to a close.
Variety reports that Jolie and Christoph Waltz are currently in talks to star in
Every Note Played, a film adaptation of the critically acclaimed romance novel by Lisa Genova.For the film, Jolie would play Karina who, in the novel, is the ex-wife of an accomplished concern pianist named Richard. With his exceptional career and potential still fresh in his mind, Richard’s talent is unforgivingly ripped from his grasp in the wake of an ALS diagnosis, which left his entire right arm paralyzed. Moreover, he knows his left arm will go next.
The novel explores themes of regret, forgiveness, freedom, and what it means to be alive as Richard struggles to come to terms with his disease, as well as the estrangement of his daughter. Realizing Richard has no one left to turn to during his darkest hour, Karina steps in to be his caregiver.

Still Alice which was adapted to film in 2014. Julianne Moore starred and later won her first Oscar for that role. Now, although we haven’t seen Jolie in much recently, it doesn’t mean she hasn’t been busy. Jolie will also star alongside Richard Madden, Gemma Chan and Kumail Nanjiani in
The Eternals, another epic adventure brought to us by the Marvel’s superhero universe that is slated for release in 2021.
Jolie will also appear opposite David Oyelowo in
Come Away; a movie based on characters from both
Alice in Wonderland and
Peter Pan which, after her performance in
Maleficent, we imagine will be incredible.
