Angelina Jolie was in Greece yesterday to meet with refugees. As usual, the media wanted a piece of her too and it caused a bit of chaos.
Jolie, a UNHCR goodwill ambassador, was visiting a makeshift refugee camp to shine a spotlight on the ever-growing humanitarian crisis. As hundreds of refugees–including children–clamoured for a chance to shake hands and briefly speak with her, members of the media swarmed towards the actor as well. Small children ended up getting pushed around and Jolie even had to lift one girl out of the crowd to safety.
“Watch out for the little girl,” Jolie said as the crowd surrounded her. “The press has to step back ’cause the kids are going to get hurt.”
Thankfully no was injured and here’s hoping the press takes heed the next time they see her.
