It’s safe to say Anna Kendrick can do anything. She can win our hearts in comedies and dramas, slay big song-and-dance numbers in musicals, lend her awesome voice to animated features, write hilarious books and even go booty to booty with J.Lo and win lip sync battles. But now Anna has her sights set on a new role, a role unlike any other on her diverse resume: superhero. And not just any superhero. Because, please. While Anna can be anything, she would like nothing more to be the plucky sidekick — of Ben Affleck‘s Batman, of course.

The two, who co-star in the upcoming thriller The Accountant, were promoting their movie and during an interview with MTV News and Kendrick couldn’t contain her excitement about their flick’s action sequences, praising Affleck for all his fight scenes. She then turned the conversation to herself and her desire to get in on the action.

And when Affleck mentions that he’s wrapping up filming on the Justice League movie and is hoping to direct the new Batman movie, in which he’ll also star, Kendrick is all over him and it couldn’t get any more adorably awkward.

Batfleck is slightly alarmed and tries to let her down gently but it’s too late. As far as Anna’s concerned, both Ben and interviewer Josh Horowitz are “dream killers.” That’s when Affleck takes it a step further and shares a dream of his that was dashed — by none other than Kendrick herself.

Anna’s charming and game as ever, and Ben playing along is reminiscent of his spirited banter with Matt Damon. It almost makes us forgive him for how he treated Jennifer Garner, and forget about Batman v Superman. If he casts Anna, then all will be forgiven and forgotten.
