In a place where getting back to your pre-baby weight is practically a job requirement, Anne Hathaway is a breath of fresh air. The Oscar winner took to Instagram recently, to post a photo. No, not the latest photo of son Jonathan, who was born in March, and not a shot of some unattainable yoga pose. Rather, Hathaway put up a picture of a pair of DIY denim cutoffs. Some might assume it’s a crafty post but once you read the caption, you’ll see it’s something else entirely.

Something empowering and inspiring.

“There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever),” she writes. “There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all).”

Anne further explained: “There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer’s are just too dang short for this summer’s thighs, adding, “Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.)”

Hathaway then peaced out, and finished the caption with the hashtags #noshame and #lovewhatyouhavebeengiven. Aaaaand, that’s why we’ll never get the Hathahate.

Anne’s post is for all the incredible women out there, sending the message that it doesn’t matter what we look like. If you want to spend as much time working out as you do with your baby, go for it. But if you also have no f*cks left to give and can’t be bothered to lose weight (post-pregnancy or otherwise), that’s cool too. It’s not the need to look or feel how you once did that’s the issue; it’s that we shouldn’t judge what everyone else is doing. We’re all different, it’s all good. Now pass the Cheetos.
