The Queen’s Christmas gift to world this year? An end to Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s on-going feud. Her Royal Highness and Prince Charles apparently put their foot down in regard to the rumours that have been surfacing around the royal sisters-in-law just in time for Christmas day.

A source told The Sun, “The Queen and Charles have allowed the situation to play out without overtly interfering — but they both made it clear that Christmas was for the whole family to really come together. That meant the two couples walking into church together as the Fab Four just like they had last year. Yes, it was awkward and uncomfortable given what’s gone on over the past 12 months. But the alternative of even more negativity on Christmas Day wasn’t worth thinking about.”

Kate and Meghan took the Queen’s order and appeared to be one big happy family on Christmas day. The pair were photographed smiling and laughing while walking to church together with William and Harry — Meghan even placed her hand on Kate’s back, making them look more like BFFs instead of rumoured rivals.

It’s hard to say what their relationship looks like behind closed doors and out of the public eye, but it seems as though their friendly interaction on Christmas day was a subtle attempt to squash the malicious rumours once and for all.
