What’s in a name, right? Well, in the dating pool, apparently a lot of value is placed in certain names. The dating app The Grade, which lets you review people you’ve gone on a date with, dug into 100,000 users to find out who they were talking to and going on dates with. Based on how often users said yes or no, the app team determined the most popular names in the dating world today. But are you on the list, hm?

women

If your name is Brianna, you’re on the list. In fact, you have the most popular name among dateable women. We’d hazard a guess to say that if your name is Brianna, you’re pretty easy-going, and down for any activity, like an evening date playing hacky-sack or a day-tripping adventure of spelunking. Are you an Erika? Well, if you are an Erika (with a k), you’re ranked second. Erika likely prefers coffee dates, because she wants to get to know her suitor before having sex with him/her. She loves cappuccinos because they can be frothy, like her.

Third on the list is Lexi. Lexi is most likely a saucy lady who loves a dirty joke. She’s got many stories, and she talks very loudly. When Lexi is in a room, she commands attention. Fourth is Brooke, like Brooke Shields or Brooke Hogan. It’s very likely that Brooke is a bit of a scholar. But in her downtime, she loves combing through Us Weekly to find out which celebrities are buying kale at a grocery store.

In fifth place, we’ve got Vanessa. Everyone loves Vanessa because she’s so accomplished in literally everything she does. She has no trouble meeting new people, and she typically has bouncy, radiant hair. Ugh, we hate Vanessa. Just kidding. In a twist we could not see coming, April is sixth. We don’t know many Aprils outside of April Kepner from Grey’s Anatomy. So, going off that, we can say that if you’re an April, you are most likely emotionally vulnerable, but razor-sharp in a crisis.

Lucky number seven is Natalie. A Natalie probably bakes a lot – like an obnoxious amount of baking. If you meet a Natalie, you will probably gain weight. But what a way to go! She also likes young adult novels, and has a cat she loves to smother with kisses. Hey number eight! Or should we say, hello Jenna. Jenna is a personable gal, and her warmth makes her so captivating. She’s also frugal, so she’s a cheap date!

Have you seen Molly? ‘Cause she’s number nine on this list of date-able women. Molly makes everyone bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. And she’ll make you feel really good, if you let her. And rounding out the top 10? That’s Katie. Katie loves board games, and she has a collection of teas at home. She loves nights at home with the people she loves, and is always having people over for cuddles. And there’s more! Eleventh goes to Laura, 12th to Rebecca, 13th to Lindsey, 14th to Taylor (it’s hard out there, Taylor Swift!) and 15th to Aly.

men

The hottest name for men in the dating pool is Brett. Brett loves film and television, but he’s also very vocal about what he likes (and doesn’t like). A Brett is most likely looking for someone who can keep up. In second place is Tyler, who probably shows up to dates on a scooter. But in third, possibly for nostalgic reasons, is Corey. Corey will forever be compared to his predecessors, Feldman and Haim. Sorry, that’s the curse.

In fourth, it’s Andy. Andy is a sweetheart. He makes really gross romantic gestures, like buying stuffed animals. But it’s easily forgivable, because he’s so adorable. Fifth place is Noah, probably because people want to date a guy who can built an ark. Sixth place is Shane, perhaps because people love Shane West.

Jeffrey is number seven, who is no doubt a person who is good with his hands. He’s got a strength of character that people find quite intriguing, and he loves to eat. Number eight in this category is Rob, which you’ll probably find bizarre if you live in Toronto. And if you’re a Frank, or you know one, he’s number nine. Frank is so outgoing, and people can’t help but want to be around him. He’s great with animals, and even has one of his own. And as if Jeffrey wasn’t getting enough love, at number 10 is Jeff. Which, let’s be honest, seems a little unfair. Save some for the rest of us, Jeff/rey.

Rounding out the top 15 are Zack in 11th position, Brandon in 12th, Nicholas in 13th, Greg in 14th and Zachary in 15th.

Happy dating, everyone.
