We might consider ourselves (devout) fans of JLo, but one thing's for certain… no one is a bigger fan than Alex Rodriguez. In true #RelationshipGoals fashion, ARod took to social media last night to pen a sweet, heartfelt note in support of his fiancée, after her loss at the 2020 Golden Globes on Sunday.Following the award show, Rodriguez shared a snap of JLo on the red carpet, in all her usual glory, with a caption that read “Jen, it doesn’t take a trophy, medal, or plaque to identify a true champion. To millions of young women who have watched you and have been inspired and empowered to do amazing things in their lives, you are a champion. For countless musicians, dancers, actresses, and performers who have seen and emulate your passion, drive and work ethic to find their own success, you are a champion. To everyone whose lives you enrich daily, you are a champion. And don’t you ever forget it.”Lopez quickly responded to her husband-to-be’s tribute, writing “You are my everything” under the picture.
We’re not crying, you’re crying. Okay, maybe we’re crying…The actress and singer was nominated in the ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture’ category for her role in Hustlers alongside other notable nominees including Margot Robbie and Kathy Bates. Unfortunately, not even JLo can win em’ all, as the honour was awarded to Laura Dern for her work on Marriage Story. That doesn't mean we’ve given up hope for an Oscar win, however. Since Hustlers hit theatres, the Oscar-buzz surrounding Lopez’s performance has reached an undeniable fever pitch. What’s more, in 91 years of Oscar history, no Latina has ever won Best Actress, meaning JLo would make history (which is true to brand for her) if she brings home the win.Throughout the evening, ARod took his duties as JLo’s date seriously, frequently sharing snaps of the two of them to social media, while referring to himself as "head of @jlo security." For the after-party circuit, Lopez changed into a ‘60s Bond Girl’ inspired white, lace dress, while Rodriguez donned a crisp suit to compliment her 007 vibe.
