As if this man doesn’t have enough to deal with, now Justin Trudeau is at the center of a Twitter-fueled eyebrow conspiracy. In the past few days alone, the PM has had the pressures of hosting the G7 Summit, Donald Trump coming at him with tariffs and insults, Trump aides telling him he’s going to hell, ongoing NAFTA negotiations and Canadians wondering what all this means. Can’t we just give the guy a break? He looks so tired.

Apparently not. Canada’s leader just can’t catch a break. Tuesday night, some low-quality footage from his Sunday press conference — yes, the one that enraged Donald Trump — went viral when someone noticed that his eyebrows looked a little funny. More specifically, they looked like one was falling off. Like, it was fake. Oh boy.

Come on, guys, really? The conspiracy blew up on Twitter with people (including a former U.S. governor and Andrew Scheer’s digital director) making jokes about eyebrow tariffs and using the hashtag #Eyebrowgate. Someone even created a Twitter account for Trudeau’s “fake” brows.

This thing got so big that news outlets like CNN covered it and fact-checking websites took it upon themselves to research and debunk the story. After analysis of the lighting, the quality of the video, other images from the day and close-ups of the eyebrows on previous occasions, the conclusion was drawn that those are, in fact, Trudeau’s real eyebrows.

Now, can we all just agree to let Trudeau take a nap or something? That man needs a break.
