Chuck Taylors, more popularly known as “Chucks,” are well-known as super-stylish, but also as an absolute hazard to your feet. Every time you buy a pair, a salesperson will recommend you buy a pair of insoles, since the shoes are so flat that they can be uncomfortable as you grow into them. And this isn’t some premium add-on, either. You literally require them if you’re going to walk any distance. Or wear them every day.
But the good people at Converse have finally answered the call of people with sore feet everywhere. And it took them long enough, right? Y’know, because Chuck Taylors first gained steam in, uh, the 1920s. But that’s not important anymore. What’s important is that Chucks now have an insole, and it’s a good one. The brand has tapped Nike to produce an insole with Lunarlon technology, which is what Nike uses in their own comfortable and casual shoes.
So, hallelujah! The classical Chuck is a whole new sexy beast. And we’re loving it.
