In a recent interview with The Times, Barbra Streisand was asked about Michael Jackson and the accusations he’s faced in the documentary Leaving Neverland. Her response was jaw dropping; while she believed Jackson’s alleged victims Wade Robson and James Safechuck, she also said they “were thrilled to be there” and that the alleged abuse didn’t “kill them.” Um.
Obviously people weren’t too impressed by her comments.

@BarbraStreisand what you said about Michael Jackson’s victims is seriously disgusting. Victims are not thrilled to be molested wtf is wrong with you.

As a lifelong fan, I am deeply disappointed about your remarks regarding Michael Jackson. I don’t understand how you could be so dismissive of the abuse that he inflicted and the damage that’s been done. It’s so unsympathetic to ALL victims of sexual abuse. @BarbraStreisand

After the backlash, Streisand clarified her comments with a new statement, telling People, “To be crystal clear, there is no situation or circumstance where it is OK for the innocence of children to be taken advantage of by anyone. The stories these two young men shared were painful to hear, and I feel nothing but sympathy for them.”
She further explained: “The single most important role of being a parent is to protect their children. It’s clear that the parents of the two young men were also victimized and seduced by fame and fantasy.”
Then added: “I am profoundly sorry for any pain or misunderstanding I caused by not choosing my words more carefully about Michael Jackson and his victims, because the words as printed do not reflect my true feelings. I didn’t mean to dismiss the trauma these boys experienced in any way. Like all survivors of sexual assault, they will have to carry this for the rest of their lives. I feel deep remorse and I hope that James and Wade know that I truly respect and admire them for speaking their truth.”
Mel B claims she and Geri Halliwell had a fling, now that’s spicy
During an interview with Piers Morgan for his show Life Stories, Mel B gave the host the scoop of his life: she, a.k.a. Scary Spice, and Geri Horner, then Geri Halliwell, a.k.a. Ginger Spice, once hooked up.
“Did you or didn’t you with Geri Halliwell … did you sleep with her?” Piers asked Mel, according to the News on Sunday. “Yeah, we all slept in a bed together but not ‘like that’ all of us.”
She continued: “She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in her country house and her husband. But it’s a fact. It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it.”
And it wasn’t some big affair; Mel insists is was “just that once” and she hopes when Geri is asked about the hookup, “she won’t deny it. Because it was just a fun thing.”
The Sun, however, is reporting that Mel and her big mouth “made a panicked phone call to apologize to Geri” immediately after the show.
“The girls all know Mel struggles to keep her mouth shut but Mel C, who was in the audience, was visibly horrified when it all came out,” said their source. “‘This is all news to me,” Mel C reportedly said when asked if she knew about the fling.
“The [reunion] tour is just two months away, they don’t want anything jeopardizing it, but there were real fears this would upset Geri’s husband and cause serious issues,” added the insider.
Duchess Kate had a falling out with her bestie
With the news that Duchess Kate and Duchess Meghan actually aren’t feuding and it’s really all about the brothers comes news that there is a woman who Kate may be on the outs with. According to The Sun, Kate had a big falling-out with former BFF Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, and her husband David Rocksavage, the Marquess.
“It is well known that Kate and Rose have had a terrible falling out,” a source told the paper. “They used to be close but that is not the case any more.”
The insider added: “William wants to play peacemaker so the two couples can remain friends, given they live so close to each other and share many mutual friends. But Kate has been clear that she doesn’t want to see them any more and wants William to phase them out, despite their social status.”
A family source has denied everything, telling the Daily Mail, “These hurtful rumours of a fall-out are simply false. William and David were in touch with each other over the weekend, not knowing whether to laugh or complain. Both wives are hurt by the suggestion that there is any argument or even a coolness between them. They have plans for future events involving their charity.”
Rose and David, whose Houghton Hall is just a few miles from Anmer Hall, have three children, daugher Lady Iris, and twin boys Alexander, Earl of Rocksavage and Oliver, Lord Cholmondeley, who are mates of Prince George. If anything, it’s just awkward. But better Rose than Meghan. Just sayin’.

Along with Alicia Silverstone (Cher) and Paul Rudd (Josh) were Donald Faison (Murray) and Breckin Meyer (Travis). And according to Faison, he believes Cher and Josh “would still be together if we were to ever do a sequel.” Um, obviously.
Totally and completely buggin’.
The trailer for the live-action Dora the Explorer movie debuted and she’s a high-schooler now
The Kids’ Choice Awards were on Saturday and during the broadcast, fans got a sneak peek at the first trailer for Dora and the Lost City of Gold, a live-action version of the hit children’s show Dora the Explorer.
So Dora (Isabela Moner) goes to live in the city with her cousin Diego (Jeffrey Wahlberg), far, far away from her parents (Eva Longoria and Michael Peña) in the jungle, the only home she’s ever known. And aside from Diego, we also meet Dora’s monkey pal, Boots (voiced by Danny Trejo), that sneaky fox, Swiper (voiced by Benicio Del Toro) and her backpack, Backpack.
And loads of fans were admittedly surprised at how much they’re actually looking forward to it.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold is from the director of The Muppets, Flight of the Conchords, and Da Ali G Show. (And, yes, Alice Through the Looking Glass.) Maybe it will surprise & be subversively funny? C’mon, Benicio del Toro voices Swiper & Danny Trejo voices Boots! pic.twitter.com/tzd5WlEBAR
