After tonight’s season finale of The Big Bang Theory, we will have officially spent eight full seasons with the lovable, socially inept, Dr. Sheldon Cooper (“BS, MS, MA, PhD, and ScD…OMG right?”) And although Sheldon has spent the better part of eight seasons forcing Leonard, Raj, Howard, Penny and Bernadette to put up with his uptight, OCD behaviour, he has been notorious for busting out some serious gags, leaving his pals victims to another, and still another of his “classic pranks.” Bazinga!

So before we watch tonight’s finale and say goodbye to our nerdy Pasadena pals for the summer, let’s pay homage to Sheldon with a look at his 11 best bazingas from the past eight years. He’s very proud of them!

11. The not-so-complimentary bazinga

Wolowitz really walked into this one. While he was distracted by the fear that Bernadette might be a little too interested in Leonard, Howard fell victim to this classic complimentary fake-out by Sheldon about his “delightful shoes.”

10. The high-speed bazinga

When Sheldon decided to work from home to avoid any chance of personal damage, he sent a ridiculous robotic, web-cam version of himself to the university in his place. Poor Leonard fell victim to this high-speed bazinga out of nowhere.

9. The elusive double-bazinga

Letting Sheldon give a roasty speech at Howard’s bachelor party was obviously asking for trouble. After a barrage of ribbing, Sheldon busted out the elusive double-bazinga. Look out!

8. The psych-out bazinga

Not only is Sheldon an uptight know-it-all when it comes to science, he has also proved to be a mind-game prank master. He proved it with this classic science psych-out bazinga on Lenoard. That’s what you get for breaking the roommate agreement, pal.

7. The gothic bazinga

When Howard and Raj planned to dress up like goths in an attempt to get freaky with some vampire-loving ladies of the night at a nightclub, of course Sheldon wanted to go with them, right? Wrong. Classic bazinga!

6. The romance advice bazinga

Before Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj left for the Arctic, Leonard was getting some mixed romantic messages from Penny. Being unsure about whether he should stay or go on the trip, he mistakenly asked Sheldon for some love advice. In the process, he walked into another one of his roomates “classic pranks.” Sheldon is so crafty, even when he’s lacking sleep.

5. The job interview bazinga

Perhaps the harshest of all bazingas. When Raj needed a job to stay in America, Sheldon was his only option for work. Sheldon really put him through the job interview ringer, which built up to one big ol’ new boss bazinga. Ouch!

4. The coitus fake-out bazinga

Sheldon has never really been one to show affection. So after suggesting to his “friend who happens to be a girl” Amy that they should perhaps try “coitus” together, a love-hungry Ms. Farrah Fowler was disappointed to discover herself being a victim of “another classic prank” by Dr. Cooper.

3. The drunk speech bazinga

This bazinga was part of one of Sheldon’s best scenes in the entire series thus far. With Sheldon deathly nervous to give a speech to his science brethren, Penny accidentally got him drunk. The result was one epic speech and one hell of a memorable bazinga. “Why did the chicken cross the mobius strip?…” So good!

2. The ball-pit bazinga

An obsession to solve a work mystery combined with a lack of sleep lead to the most bazingas ever registered in one episode of The Big Bang Theory. It also happened to occur in a ball pit in the middle of the night. Sheldon was losing his mind, one bazinga at a time!

1. The zombie-revenge bazinga

Yes, Sheldon’s zombie couch bazinga was most definitely the greatest bazinga in eight seasons of the show thus far. The commitment to scaring the crap out of Leonard in the name of revenge, combined with the solid make-up job and the menacing “bazinga punk!” were totally on point and hilarious. Nice work Dr. Cooper.
