Ben Affleck has moved on
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may be divorcing in as amicable a way as possible, but there were many holding out for some sort of reunion since they still manage to spend time together with their kids. But that’s all it is — a co-parenting relationship, because it seems Ben has moved on.
E! News is reporting Affleck is dating Lindsay Shookus, a producer at Saturday Night Live. A source describes their relationship as “in the early stages,” but it’s “more than just a summer fling.” She recently went to London where he was working and the two caught a play together. Ben and Lindsay were also photographed on a date night last week, so while they kept things under wraps in the beginning, it looks like they’re ready to go public. Very public.
“They had a table for two, but were sitting very close to one another,” an insider said. “Ben and Lindsay were very intimate and touchy the entire dinner. They kept whispering in each other’s ears and Ben was quite touchy with Lindsay.”
But if you think that shook Garner, think again. There’s nothing about Ben she doesn’t know, and knowing that outlets were going to go public with the relationship reveal, it’s safe to say that Ben gave Jen a heads-up.
It sounds new and lovely but perhaps not as sweet as we’re made to believe. Us Weekly claims Ben and Lindsay started hooking up three years ago — when he and Jen were still “happily” married. And it should be pointed out that if they are together, Shookus took him back after Affleck’s affair with the nanny came out. Hmm, not sure what the truth is, but whatever it is, at least Garner is out of it and she and Ben are able to keep things healthy for the kids. Ben’s Lindsay’s problem now.
Donal Logue’s daughter is back home
Gotham star and Canadian-born actor Donal Logue had been pleading for his daughter’s safe return since she went missing two weeks ago, but on Saturday he tweeted that Jade was safe.
Thank you ALL for the love and support. We are good. Kasey and I wish to thank the NYPD. FBI, @MissingKids and countless others.

Logue’s rep confirmed to People, “Jade is now safely back home with her family. Donal is incredibly thankful for everyone’s support, and especially to the NYPD and FBI for her safe return.”
Jade had been missing since June 26, following an event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Donal took to social media, asking for help. Throughout it all, Logue insisted that Jade wasn’t a runaway and “predators” could’ve taken advantage and did everything he could to reassure her that they love her and wanted her back home. Thankfully, their prayers were answered.

Britney raises $1 million for childhood cancer foundation
The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation is up $1 million, thanks to Britney Spears and donations from her Piece of Me concert ticket sales. In honour of Brit’s awesome work, the foundation will open the Britney Spears Campus on July 17, and it will help pediatric and adult patients in the community.
“There are many things I’ve done in my career that I am proud of, but none more than this,” Spears said in a statement. “The fact that I was able to use my celebrity status to raise the money to build this incredible facility to help sick children and their families when they need it the most not only brings many tears to my eyes, but really brings tremendous meaning to this amazing journey that I have been on.”
Britney added: “My aunt Sandra died of cancer and I know the devastating effects that this terrible disease brings upon its victims and their loved ones, but when it happens to innocent young children, there’s literally nothing I can think of worse than that. I’m just glad that I can help in some small way.”
She went on to thank the NCCF for all their work, but we think they’ll be thanking her for years to come. Bravo, Brit!
Madonna’s opening a pediatric surgery centre in Malawi and it’s named it after her daughter
Madonna‘s adopted kids are all from Malawi, so it’s the perfect place for her to give back. And the way she’s doing that is by opening a clinic at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre that will be named after her 11-year-old daughter, Mercy. That’s right, the Mercy James Institute for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care will officially open its doors tomorrow — a year after Madge, Mercy and David were there.
According to Madonna’s site, Raising Malawi, the facility will be the first of its kind in the country and will help the hospital “double the number of surgeries performed on children each year” while also increasing the chance of survival after critical surgeries.
“In addition to serving more children, this new facility will become a training center of excellence for Southern Africa, with more local doctors acquiring the skills needed to perform pediatric surgery,” the site reads. “In a country with only three pediatric surgeons and 50% of the population under 15 years old, this new facility could make a significant difference in the lives of Malawian children.” Good on you, Madge.
Shia arrested for public drunkenness. Again
In news that will shock no one, Shia LaBeouf was drunk and behaving like a belligerent knucklehead in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday and was promptly arrested. He was released after posting a $7,000 bond, E! News reports, but honestly, when’s enough going to be enough?
Police told E! News that Shia approached both a bystander and a police officer for a cigarette. “When LaBeouf wasn’t given a cigarette, he became disorderly, using profanities and vulgar language in front of the women and children present,” the statement said. “He was told to leave the area and refused, becoming aggressive toward the officer. When the officer attempted to place LaBeouf under arrest, LaBeouf ran to a nearby hotel. LaBeouf was arrested in the hotel lobby, where his disorderly behavior continued. LaBeouf was charged with obstruction, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.”
All of Shia’s arrests have been alcohol-related and at this point, you’d think he’d learn. But we guess that if he continues to be employed, continues getting attention and continues to not give a sh*t, LaBeouf is never going to stop. Why would he?
