It’s over for Ben and Jen
It’s been nearly two years since they announced their separation back in June 2015, but TMZ reports they’re officially parting ways after Jennifer Garner filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. But if you thought their separation was amicable, just wait and see how Jen and Ben handle divorce.
According to TMZ, they filed “in propria persona,” which means they didn’t even use a lawyer. Her petition and his response were not only filed together, but they were also worded similarly, which means they were written together.
They both want joint legal and physical custody of their three kids, and TMZ adds they didn’t list a date of separation, nor did they fill in the part about spousal support. There’s also no prenup and Ben and Jen are still negotiating a financial settlement, but it seems like it’s as straightforward and friendly as a divorce can be — so a messy court battle doesn’t seem likely.
“They always planned to divorce despite what people said. If you look at their first statement it says divorce not separate,” a source pointed out to People. “They just did it the way they wanted to and did what was best for their kids. There was no catalyst, it was just time. Nothing has changed, they are and still will be putting their kids first.”
The friendly exes — really, they’re friendlier than some couples who are still married to each other — are often spotted together. In fact, Ben, Jen and the kids attended Easter mass on Sunday and looked like any other happy family. If only every divorce was this easy.
Harry and Meghan’s engagement is imminent
Hot on the heels of Meghan Markle shutting down her lifestyle website, The Tig, the actress has reportedly cut ties with Canadian fashion retailer Reitmans, with whom she’s launched two fairly successful collections, so you know what that means: one less loose end as she prepares for the royal life with boyfriend Prince Harry.
Sources told the Daily Mail that Markle was “offered a large sum in December to renew her contract but surprised Reitmans by refusing to sign it.” Now, if you try to visit Meghan’s section on the Reitmans website, the collection is no longer available.
Royal watchers speculate that her relationship with Reitmans, not to mention The Tig, is ending because she doesn’t want to be associated with anything that “does not fit with the image she might want to project as a future member of the Royal Family,” which makes sense. It’s also a sign that they might be very close to announcing an engagement. Harry, who spent the Easter long weekend in Toronto with Meghan, might want to get on that. It’s crystal clear that Meghan’s ready.
Melissa McCarthy’s Sean Spicer returned to SNL, and it’s been too long
Jimmy Fallon was the host of SNL this past weekend, Alec Baldwin was back as Trump and Harry Styles was the musical guest, but it was Melissa McCarthy who once again stole the show with her Sean Spicer impression. She returned as irritated as ever, and this time, dressed as the Easter Bunny. And there were more props!
McCarthy had a lot of material to work with given Sean Spicer’s confusion about the Holocaust last week. “Spicey finally screwed up. You got me … I clearly meant to say concentration clubs [instead of ‘Holocaust centres’],” McCarthy stated.
Spicey went on to apologize to “all the goys out there” for the timing of the incident so close to Passover, or “what I call ‘Jewish Easter.'”
But the highlight was, without a doubt, when she tried to make a historical demonstration with VeggieTales dolls. Can someone please just give her all the awards now?

The Obamas, Tom Hanks, Bruce Springsteen and Oprah are all on vacation together
This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill. There’s a yacht currently touring French Polynesia and vacationers on board include Barack and Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks and Bruce Springsteen. This might be the coolest yacht ever.
According to a Tahitian news outlet, they met up on Monday on Oracle CEO Larry Ellison‘s “luxury super yacht,” island hopping like the cool cats they are. Travel + Leisure reports that it all comes to an end at The Brando, a luxury resort on the private island of Tetiaroa, where the former president has spent the past three weeks.
That Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer though …
If you watched The Last Jedi trailer, which was released on Friday, then you probably can’t stop thinking about Skywalker’s words at the end of the trailer: “It’s time for the Jedi… to end.”
And with Luke taking on the role of a mentor and Rey acting as a young Jedi in training, there are shades of The Empire Strikes Back here — it’s just a little darker and more ominous.
Why is December so far away?
