Fans of Beyonce are known to be ruthless. Whenever anyone comes for Queen Bey, many get in formation and start attacking them on social media. Thanks to Beyonce’s new “Lemonade” album, the Beyhive has found some new targets to sting–and the whole thing is pretty ridiculous because one of them is literally an innocent chef.
OK, so let’s start from the beginning. ‘Yonce released her stunning visual album “Lemonade” on HBO over the weekend and some songs are about a significant other cheating. Many fans took certain lyrics (“He better call Becky with the good hair“) to mean that her husband Jay Z was stepping out on Bey. Fans then somehow identified the other woman as fashion designer Rachel Roy. Here’s why: Roy is the ex-wife of Jay Z’s former-best friend and business partner Damon Dash. Rumour has it that the elevator incident, in which Bey’s sister Solange took a few shots at Jay as a calm ‘Yonce looked on, occurred because Solange confronted Roy about her supposed cheating ways. Dramz, amirite?
Now, there’s no actual proof whatsoever (at least in public) that Roy is the other woman, but the Beyhive clearly doesn’t care about proof and went into full attack mode. Now, you’re probably wondering, “Hey, when do you get to the part about said innocent chef you mentioned a bajillion sentences ago?!” so here it is: Bey fans were so caught up in finding Rachel Roy’s Instagram account, they mistook a few letters and started going after famous TV chef Rachael Ray as well. The Bey Hives classic move? Writing some ridiculous things on Instagram photos. Here are some gems:
“Oh I loved hot chicken fajitas but I will never make them again after what you did you did to the Queen.”
“Never watchin ur show again Rachel u r a homewrecker!”
“Don’t forget the lemon zest beeyoch.”
“…you better cook up a new man b4 I roll up with beehive and sting your a** until you go into anaphylactic shock @rachaelray.”
Yeah, what a bunch of lovely people. Thankfully, Ray is taking things in stride. She kept mum on her personal account, but her official Rachael Ray Show Instagram account posted this with a sly caption:
Luckily for Ray, most of the Beyhive have stopped circling her. Unfortunately, they’ve found a new “Becky with the good hair,” singer Rita Ora who’s signed to Jay’s music label. Oy vey. Will this ever end?
