It’s amazing how something so small as a phone call can make a difference. Of course, when it’s actually a video chat and the caller is Beyoncé, that changes things significantly. The superstar took time out of her Wednesday to make a teenage girl’s dream come true, because that’s what royalty does: fulfills wishes. Fan sites shared the heartwarming exchange on social media between Beyoncé and Ebony Banks.

Banks, whose nickname is Ebob, has spent most of her senior year in the hospital after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and her biggest wish was to meet Beyoncé, she told Houston’s KHOU.
“She’s, like, my everything and my idol. And if I ever met her, I would probably pass out.”
So her family and classmates set out to make that happen, starting a social media campaign with the hashtag #ebobmeetsBeyonce, earning thousands of retweets. And it paid off, as Bey got the message loud and clear.
This isn’t the first time Banks has felt the love from her loved ones and school. Banks’ high school district even held a special early graduation ceremony for her at the hospital. According to KHOU, the young woman, who has been accepted into college, plans to study pediatric nursing in order to help others battling cancer.

Banks might be in the fight of her life right now, but it’s obvious she’s got an amazing support system around her. Keep on fighting, Ebony.
