‘Where were you when Beychella happened?’ It’s a question Beyoncé fans will be asking one another for years, following Beyoncé’s incredible headlining performance on Saturday at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. For the lucky few thousand in attendance during this past weekend’s Coachella, they were witnesses to one of the biggest musical performers of all time reuniting one of the biggest groups. Go to the desert on a vision quest, see the reunion of Destiny’s Child.
Beyoncé was initially announced as a headliner for the 2017 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival but was forced to postpone her performance after announcing she was pregnant with twins Rumi and Sir. Promising to return the next year, Beyoncé went above and beyond for the Beyhive on Saturday night, delivering a 27-song set list that would have exceeded a typical Beyoncé concert, let alone a music festival performance. There aren’t many times when this word is appropriate, but oh yeah, it was EPIC.

THE DANCE OFF WITH SOLANGE
In 2014, Beyoncé’s younger sister Solange performed at Coachella and was joined on stage by Bey for a sister dance off. The pair continued the tradition this past weekend, with Solange hitting the stage to help her sister headline the music fest and show how the Knowles women get down.

THE ‘ON THE RUN TOUR II’ PREVIEW
Earlier this month, Beyoncé and husband Jay Z announced they were hitting the road together for a second joint tour. Kicking off in July, On The Run II will feature the married couple once again sharing the stage. Fans got a sneak peek at the tour this past weekend when Bey brought Jay on stage, where the pair performed their 2006 single “Déjà Vu.”
THE WARDROBE MALFUNCTION
Bey’s multiple wardrobe changes even included changing her nails. We bow down. The pop star almost had a wardrobe malfunction when her boots and top both began to slide down at one point during the performance, but the singer handled the moment like a pro and didn’t miss a note or step.
Beyoncé trynna make sure she doesn’t have a wardrobe malfunction 😂
She needs her mobility!

THE HISTORICAL MOMENTS
Beyoncé’s headlining set at Coachella 2018 was historic for several reasons, including Bey becoming the first black woman to headline the fest. Bey paid tribute to historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the United States. Backed by a 200-person marching band performing on bleachers meant to look like a college setting, Beyoncé performed “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” a song that is historically known as the Black National Anthem. Beyoncé’s Coachella set also included snippets from a Malcom X speech and samples from Nina Simone and Fela Kuti.

THE DESTINY’S CHILD REUNION
It was a moment that DC3 fans have been dreaming of for years. The last time Beyoncé and her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams reunited was at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime performance. The ladies were due for a return to the stage together and made Coachella their reunion destination. Not missing a step in the 12 years since they disbanded, the holy trinity of Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle performed “Lose My Breath,” “Say My Name” and “Soldier.”
From celebs who were there to witness Beychella in real life, to those watching at home, there was nothing but praise for Queen Bey. Rihanna was front and centre for the entire performance, dancing until the very end.

Adele posted videos of herself dancing with Bey in her living room looking like the President of the Beyhive Fan Club.
Chance The Rapper called Beyoncé the ‘greatest performer to ever live.’
I saw it with my own two eyes. Beyonce is the greatest entertainer to ever live and the Queen of Music.

Iggy Azalea said she was ‘shaken to her bones.’
I don’t think I’ll ever see a better show then the one I just watched Beyonce perform tonight. Iam shaken to my bones.

Canadian actor Stephen Amell was at Coachella and saw first hand who won the fest.
Beyonce won Coachella. No other act was anywhere close to her.

Now the big question is, what will she do for Weekend Two of Coachella?
