We’ve decided that we’ve been apologizing for our Justin Bieber-love for long enough. We watched Believe and were impressed by the little prodigy, we’ve found ourselves at least humming (if not singing, loudly) along to every song he’s released to radio (no, we didn’t buy the albums, because… well, we’re grown-ups) and we looooved his romance with equally cute Selena Gomez.

And that brings us to today. We want to offer our thanks to Ellen for the gift she’s given us. A stripped down, acoustic version of our current favourite song. It’s just so… so emotional. Just so right.

Sorry, but we are a little obsessed with the Biebs’ latest single. Not just because it’s ostensibly about Selena (Jelena 4ever!) though we love that, but because, well come on. That song is catchy. It’s poppy. It’s put-it-on-repeat-and-dance-while-you-do-the-dishes good (we did say we’re grown-ups). And the Ellen version? It just adds another layer. More nuance, if you will.

We’ll understand if you don’t get where we’re coming from, but we think you might, just might be coming around to our side. Slowly.

You’re humming it a little bit now aren’t you? That’s what we thought.
