For all of you hoping that we’d hear stories about Barack and Michelle Obama hitting the dance floor at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s upcoming wedding, consider your dreams dashed. The couple are keeping politics out of their nuptials. Yes, even the good kind of politics.

“It has been decided that an official list of political leaders — both U.K. and international — is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s wedding,” said a Kensington Palace spokesman. “Her Majesty’s Government was consulted on this decision, which was taken by The Royal Household.”

That also means Justin and Sophie Trudeau didn’t get invites, along with Theresa May and other senior British politicians, and Donald Trump — though the latter was a given.

According to the BBC, aside from politics, the decision was made based on the church’s size and the fact that Harry is only fifth in line to the throne (and soon-to-be-sixth, with the birth of William and Kate’s third child). Those who did manage to wrangle invites were people who Harry and Megs have existing direct relationships with.

While Will and Kate made it official at Westminster Abbey in front of 1,900 guests, Harry and Meghan’s ceremony will be considerably smaller, as St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle only holds about 600. While 2,640 people will be milling around the Windsor grounds, including 250 members of the Armed Forces, we learned the names of a few of the lucky members of the public who will also be a part of the big royal day.

So, while we’re a little sad that Barack, Michelle, Justin, Sophie, Harry and Meg won’t be forming a wedding conga line any time soon, we’re not at all surprised that this royal guest list is more inclusive than any we can remember. That’s just how they roll.
