Billie Lourd welcomes a baby boy

Congratulations are in order for first-time mom Billie Lourde and her fiancé Austen Rydell. The couple announced on Instagram that they have welcomed their first child, baby boy Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell, on September 24.Lourd shared an adorable photo of Kingston’s tiny little toes and feet under a blue blanket. He was wearing black pajamas with stars and moons on them (appropriate, considering Lourd and her late mom Carrie Fisher’s connection to Star Wars), but the actor was careful not to share much else. Still, that didn’t stop fans from fawning immediately over the cuteness overload.

“I love you Kingston!!!!!!” wrote Olivia Wilde alongside four red heart emojis. “MAZEL tov,” added Beanie Feldstein. “Can’t wait to meet him. #PeakFam,” wrote Andy Cohen, while Cheyenne Jackson spoke for many fans by sharing, “These toes make me feel like we’re gonna be ok.” Other celebrities, like Kelly Ripa, Matthew Morrison, Kaitlyn Dever, Lea Michele and Lily Collins, also chimed in with all the love.It definitely seems like a household full of love right about now over at the Lourd and Rydell residence. Not only are the couple full-on stargazing at their new babe, but they’re also in the planning stages of their wedding. The pair became engaged in June, with Rydell sharing the happy news with fans on Instagram. “She said YES!! (Actually she said ‘Duhhh’) But I guess that’s even better than yes?” he wrote at the time.Lourd and Rydell (an actor and producer), first dated in 2016, but they later broke up. In late 2017 they rekindled things and by December of that year Rydell even joined Lourd on her trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights in honour of the one-year anniversary of her mother’s death.Many fans had no idea that Lourd was even pregnant. She never made an announcement on social media or confirmed it to news outlets, and her reps have yet to announce more details as to the actual birth. Motherhood was definitely on the 28-year-old’s mind this past May though, when she paid tribute to her mom on Instagram. In fact, that was the last post Lourd shared before Kingston’s reveal.

✨?✨Sending my love to anyone who has lost a mother and anyone who might just be having a complicated Mother’s Day this year. This is my 4th Mother’s Day without my Momby and days like today are never easy, but I’ve found that doing things that make me feel more connected to her make it a little easier - watching her favorite movies, listening to music we listened to together, looking through old pictures and my personal favorite - eating + drinking things she loved. (Today I’m going to watch Postcards from The Edge, listen to Tom Petty + Dire Straits, have a fried mozzarella from La Scala and have a couple Coca-Colas with an aggressive amount of ice). Happy Mother’s Day, but Mother’s Day can be more than just one adjective, so sad Mother’s Day / weird Mother’s Day / funny Mother’s Day / angry Mother’s Day / or any combination of the above. ❤️
