Its been three years since The Voice (Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CTV TWO) brought coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani together in a love match we never saw coming, but the country singer and pop superstar are still going strong. So strong, in fact, that the couple are reportedly in the final stages of finding a surrogate to carry their child. Chair turn for a baby!
US Weekly is reporting that the lovey dovey couple are *this* close to finalizing the surrogacy process. “They are in the final stages of choosing the woman who will carry their baby. It’s extremely important to Gwen that she give Blake a biological child, and Blake is so excited,” an insider tells the magazine.
If you’re following Stefani on social media, then you know that the No Doubt frontwoman spends most of her free time with Shelton and her three sons, Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10 and Apollo, 4, whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. You also know that she loves Instagram stories. Like, loooooves them. Admittedly, we love watching them because the videos usually contain super sweet moments between Shelton and Stefani’s sons, whether they’re at family parties in Los Angeles or hanging out on Shelton’s ranch.
According to the insider, Blake is grateful for the time he has with Stefani’s boys, but “he wants his own child too. Gwen just is so in awe of the love Blake has, not only for her but for the boys.”
Shelton and Stefani met in 2015 while they were coaches on The Voice. The superstars were both going through very public divorces at the time, Shelton with ex-wife Miranda Lambert, and Stefani with Rossdale, and found themselves able to relate to one another. The couple have always been very open about their relationship and while all baby talk is rumours at this point, we will say that we love seeing the two so happy together. Plus, this Christmas track is such a jam.
