Jealousy isn’t a good look on anyone, but it’s hard not to feel utterly envious of one particular travel blogger and her Instagram account… and a little bit peeved as well.
Nina Okhotina, a 28-year-old from Moscow, Russia, gallivants around the globe in her free time, snapping photos of epic views, just like any normal traveller would.
Okhotina, however, isn’t just taking semi-candid selfies on her iPhone. Instead, the traveller gets outfitted in red carpet-worthy gowns and captures otherworldly snaps of herself in each destination. From the outfits and the lighting to her elegant movements, the whole things feels a bit ridiculous. Here, most of us are trying to decide if we can go just one more day before doing laundry. Okhotina, on the other hand, is jet-setting around the world, wearing the most glamorous threads, even in places where they make absolutely no sense.
The blogger carries her gowns around in a backpack as she travels, and even sews many of the dresses herself. Well-travelled, beautiful and crafty?! Life is so unfair.
When she’s alone, Okhotina will set up a tripod to take a photo on her own, or sometimes she’ll ask family or friends, if they’re around, to capture a moment for her. Either way, her 79,000 followers don’t seem to care who’s taking the photo, as long as it features her in some ethereal dress.
In this photo captured by the Black sea, the sides of her fuchsia dress defy gravity somehow.
We can barely get our socks to match let alone find scenery that matches an outfit so perfectly.
To make ourselves feel better, we’re just going to imagine that the bottom of this dress is getting totally wet. And probably collecting an army of little critters, too.
When in Scotland, do as the Scottish do. Which is to say, find the most extravagant tartan you can get your hands on.
Not sure how much more of this we can handle.
As if we didn’t already have enough friends posting stunning travel photos to social media…
Stop it already!
Okay, that’s it. Time to quit work, buy a camera and a plane ticket, and throw our best clothes into a suitcase.
If you don’t have an extreme case of the travel blues after cruising through Okhotina’s photos, head on over to her Instagram account for more unbelievable images. Or, you can crawl into your office cubicle and ugly cry. We’ll probably do both.
