What is it about Munenori Kawasaki that just makes us constantly smile? Between his proud heritage declarations (“I am Japaneeeeeese!”) to the way he sets up for a ball at shortstop (dude is constantly moving), to the way he just takes those chop swings at the ball, pulling off infield hits like it’s nobody’s business, we kind of love him.
Since we haven’t been getting our Kawasaki fix during the the Jays’ regular season so far (he’s not on the 40-man roster but could always be called up), we haven’t seen much of his contagious enthusiasm for things. Until now that is.
That’s because Kawasaki has given us another present, in the form of a body fat gymnastics routine that makes any day complete. It’s like watching Will Ferrell in Blades of Glory, except it’s Kawasaki on a ball diamond. Performing solo.
We couldn’t tell you exactly what moves he’s performing here, all we know is that we can’t stop watching.
Check it out for yourself, and here’s hoping these sweet, sweet moves will have him back on the Jays’ roster in no time.
