What would you do if you saw a newspaper ad claiming that you could trade in your car for a brand new BMW just by going into a local BMW dealership on April Fools’ Day and asking for someone named Tom?
Probably scoff at the obvious prank and turn the page, right? That’s what the people of New Zealanders did when they saw the ad — well, except for one. Tiaana Marsh from Auckland said what the heck and went for it. She didn’t cares if BMW was pulling this cruel joke on everyone. There was a shiny very expensive BMW on the line and she wanted it.
It turns out Marsh was the smartest person in New Zealand because BMW reversed their April Fools’ Day prank and actually handed her the keys to her new car — complete with confetti and a round of applause.
So what’s the lesson we learned? Just because something sounds too good to be true, doesn’t mean it’s not…well, true.
Bravo BMW. You guys just turned our whole world upside down.
Now if only these April Fools Day products were the real deal. We can only dream.
