An Australian boy recently learned a valuable lesson in performing: the show must go on.
Ethan Hall was selected to sing his country’s national anthem before a baseball game last week, but was hit with a case of the hiccups right before his big moment. As a result, his version of the song sounded a little, well, choppy.
Players could be seen visibly holding in their laughter as the boy stumbled throughout the song. But to Hall’s credit, he didn’t let the spasms stop him. The boy sung right through the hiccups to the end, and was rewarded with high-fives from the players and quite a loud applause from the crowd.
You can check out the moment yourself in the video, above.
