Too good to be true?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still in the process of divorcing, it’s taking a loooong time, with any tiny remaining hopes we have of a reunion flying out the window every time we hear about their custody battle. Despite splitting in September 2016, neither have hit the dating scene, at least that we know of. Until now. Maybe. It’s being reported that Pitt is involved with someone new and, best of all, it’s someone we know: Charlize Theron.

“They have been casually seeing each other for nearly a month now,” a source told The Sun. “They’ve been friends for some time — ironically through Sean [Penn] — but things have developed.”

Hmm, so it’s not like Penn actually set up his ex, with whom things ended quite badly. Pitt and Theron likely met while she and Penn were involved (from 2013 to 2015) and have simply been friendly since.

The Sun reported that Brad and Charlize went a little more public with their blossoming relationship this weekend. Both Pitt and Theron were at the Chateau Marmont for a special screening of If Beale Street Could Talk — of which Brad is an executive producer — and it was like a moth to a flame.

“Brad came over to Chateau afterwards, changed his outfit and joined Charlize in a corner of the bar,” said the source. “They were ridiculously touchy-feely and his arm was around her back. At one point he winked at her. Brad seemed in a really good place — they both looked really happy.”

You know who probably isn’t happy, though? Angelina Jolie. Radar Online reported that Angelina and Charlize have been “feuding for years” over film roles and can’t stand each other.

“The hate fest between these two started a long time ago and just won’t stop,” the insider added. Well, that seems like a narrative we’ve heard before, but who knows, maybe this’ll be true love. Stranger things have happened.

Cardi B wins the Internet with a Twitter war versus a Fox News nobody

It was just last week that Cardi B got political, slamming Trump for the government shutdown in a so-NSFW Instagram rant. It was beautiful, if you like a lot loads of expletives.

On Friday, Fox News political commentator Tomi Lahren weighed in, writing, “Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. HA! Keep it up, guys!” Pfft. Like it’s a bad thing to have the rapper on their side. So Cardi came back at her in a way only Cardi can.

LOL! Lahren fired back with the worst comeback ever, along with yet another stupid hashtag, but Cardi wasn’t done. After a few hours sleep, she further explained her thoughts.

Hmm, does presidential hopeful Kamala Harris need a running mate?

R. Kelly has, apparently, been dropped by Sony Music

R. Kelly might be denying all the accusations of sexual misconduct, but that isn’t stopping his label, Sony Music, from taking measures. According to Variety, Sony’s RCA Records has severed ties with the singer, which comes on the heels of the Lifetime documentary Surviving R. Kelly, which detailed various accusations against the singer.

While nothing official has been announced, it’s been noted that Kelly, who was featured on their website as recently as last month, can no longer be found in the “artists” section.

Kelly, who is currently being investigated in Georgia and Illinois, continues to deny the allegations. Time will tell.

Prince Philip reportedly didn’t apologize to the woman he got in that car accident with

If we’re still alive at the age of 97, much less driving a car, that’ll be an amazing thing. But if we are behind the wheel, we will most definitely have our seat belt on. Not Prince Philip, though. As you already know, Queen Elizabeth‘s husband was involved in a car accident on Thursday that resulted in him walking away from his overturned Land Rover uninjured. A miracle in itself since Philip wasn’t buckled in.

Philip collided with the driver of a Kia, who wound up with cuts to her knee, People reported. Her nine-month-old baby wasn’t injured, thankfully, but the passenger of the car, Emma Fairweather, suffered a broken wrist. Considering what the scene of the collision looked like, it could’ve been way worse, but Fairweather is still a little disappointed at the aftermath.

“I’m lucky to be alive and he hasn’t even said sorry,” Fairweather told The Sunday Mirror. “It has been such a traumatic and painful time and I would have expected more of the Royal Family.”

Fairweather then went on to spill some tea: “It could have been so much worse. Prince Philip apparently said to a witness that it was the sun that dazzled him but I can’t see how that could be true when it was overcast.”

Some acknowledgement would obviously go a long way: “I love the royals but I’ve been ignored and rejected and I’m in a lot of pain,” she added. “It would mean the world to me if Prince Philip said sorry but I have no idea if he’s sorry at all. What would it have taken for him and the Queen to send me a card and a bunch of flowers?”

Fairweather did admit that she got a call from a police family liaison officer, who passed along a message from Elizabeth and Philip. “He said, ‘The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh would like to be remembered to you.'” But she wasn’t happy with that at all. “That’s not an apology or even a well-wish.”

Maybe “being remembered to” is more meaningful in royal speak, but we’d be waiting for a real apology too.

This old story about Sinead O’Connor couldn’t have surfaced at a more appropriate time

Gillette’s ad tackling toxic masculinity has started all kinds of conversations, encouraging men to hold themselves and other men accountable. And while some got goosebumps from the ad, others were pissed about it, basically proving just how much this narrative is needed.

Because of the ad, writer Audra Williams took to Twitter to remind us of a story you may or may not be aware of. It happened nearly 30 years ago, in 1992, when Sinead O’Connor was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, where she took advantage of her time on stage to publicly rip up a photo of Pope John Paul II.

Things didn’t go well for O’Connor after that.

(Williams later corrected this tweet; it wasn’t Dice Clay who made the comment but, rather, Joe Pesci who said it on SNL a week later.)

Shortly after, she was one of several artists set to perform at MSG at a concert celebrating Bob Dylan — but people weren’t having it.

Organizers requested that Kris Kristofferson do their dirty work and get her off the stage. But he wasn’t having it.

You know when the Gillette ad takes a turn for the better, and we get glimpses of hope, of men who recognize problematic behaviour and aren’t afraid to do the right thing? That was Mr. Kristofferson.

Thanks to Williams for reminding of this moment, and to Kristofferson for showing us all the best a man can get.
