Brad Pitt may have found a new leading lady. The actor is reportedly dating jewelry designer Sat Hari Khalsa, with US Weekly confirming that the longtime friends are casually seeing one another.
A source close to the couple tells US Weekly that 55-year-old Pitt enjoys spending time with 50-year-old Khalsa, describing the designer as ‘earthy’ and much more ‘low maintenance’ than the women Brad has dated in the past. At least, we think that’s what the source said. We were busy throwing up our breakfast after learning that people are still using the term ‘high maintenance’ to describe women. Awesome. The source, who apparently still lives in 1986, says that Khalsa is “very strong,” adding “and has a beautiful mind. That’s what he’s attracted to.”
Khalsa and Pitt were first spotted together in 2018 at the Silverlake Conservatory of Music Gala, an annual benefit gala organized by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. In addition to jewellery design, Khalsa is also a holistic healer and even toured with the Red Hot Chili Peppers as the band’s official healer. Pitt and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bass player Flea are friends, with the pair meeting through artist Thomas Houseago. So, we know that Khalsa and Pitt have been running in the same social circle for at least a year and we know that Pitt is drawn to artists, so this definitely seems like it could be a match.
Pitt and Khalsa reportedly attended the premiere of Pitt’s new film Ad Astra together earlier this week, with the pair spotted leaving the after-party together. According to US Weekly, the new couple are taking things slow and likely won’t be designing their own wedding rings anytime soon. “Brad’s not in that mind-set,” says the source, who adds that “Sat is very special to him and someone he enjoys spending time with.”
Following US Weekly’s story announcing Pitt and Khalsa as an item, E! News now says that the pair are just friends, with their source claiming that the couple didn’t show any affection at the Ad Astra after-party. “At no point during the party did there appear to be an obvious PDA or any indication that they were romantic,” says the source. “Brad didn’t really talk to her much, he was talking to different groups of people. It was just friendly and not romantic.” Maybe. Or maybe some couples don’t like to display PDA.
Khalsa runs the jewellery line Amrit and her designs have been worn by some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Emma Watson, Malin Akerman, Laverne Cox, Kate Bosworth, Gwen Stefani, and even Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, who has worn Amrit jewelry on multiple occasions.
