Hometown: Brampton, Ontario
Where you’ve seen him: Reporting local weather at CTV Barrie, and on the prairies at Global Regina.
What he’ll bring to Your Morning: His true self. “A bit of energy, some laughs, a little bit of quirkiness, a little bit of Caribbean flavour… just some personality and a good time.”
How he takes his coffee: Two milks, one sugar. (But a “nice mocha” or a peppermint tea with one sugar will also do the trick!)
Early-morning wake-up tip: Take a shower—a nice hot shower—and listen to your favourite song. Some rap music or fast-paced R&B helps to get you going.
Breakfast of choice: French toast and eggs benny. But on Sundays, fried dumplings, ackee and saltfish “are a must.”
The one story he’ll never forget: Going to the remote community of Seward, Alaska. “I think I will never forget that— it was so cool. I got to see glaciers—the massive kind that you will never see unless you go so far north… It was probably the most beautiful place I have ever seen.”
Proudest moment: “Getting my first job—but then, getting the call that I got this job—both of those moments were amazing.”
Favourite person to follow: Barack Obama because “I feel like we need some inspiration right now. But I also like to keep up with Rihanna.”
Worst thing he’s missed by sleeping in: Breakfast. “It’s most important meal of the day.”
