Like every bride-to-be, Kiley Manulak hoped that her big day would go off without a hitch. And that’s exactly what happened — there was no hitching to be done. After a two-year engagement, Manulak received a TEXT MESSAGE from her fiancé saying the wedding was off because he didn’t want to marry her.

She was devastated, obviously, but instead of taking a baseball bat to his car, burning everything he owns or full-on attacking him, Manulak knew there was only one thing she wanted to do: destroy her wedding dress.

Rather than setting the damn thing on fire, Manulak and her bridesmaids took part in Color Fun Fest in Tampa, Fla., and if you think something called Color Fun Fest involves a whole lot of colour, you’re right. The jilted bride’s dress ended up stained with all sorts of vibrant hues — and she couldn’t be happier. Kiley found the whole experience liberating and hopes that others who are in the same situation can find the same fun she did. It gave her strength and the support from friends and family has meant the world to her.

As for her ex, Manulak once again took the high road and wants to thank him — for sparing her from any future heartache he likely would’ve caused, and for letting her go so she can find true happiness. Wow, Kiley truly is an inspiration. You go, girl.
