A women’s wedding day is something that many have looked forward to since they were a little girl. We fantasize about the perfect venue, the most beautiful flowers and most importantly, our dream dress.

And usually, you can count on your closest gal pals and bridesmaids to lend a helping hand since planning the big day will undoubtedly be stressful. That, unfortunately, wasn’t the case for one bride.

Her biggest secret of the entire event, the wedding dress, was spoiled by one of her bridesmaids after she posted a picture of the dress (with her in it) to Facebook without permission.

For many, this is a bride’s worst nightmare. The women took to Mumsnet to divulge her feelings about the situation. She expressed that the process of finding her perfect wedding dress was trying, but she had luckily found the dress she would walk down the aisle in.

“I went back for a final fitting on the weekend and took one of my bridesmaids as she wanted to see. After finishing the appointment and getting home I saw that she had posted a photo of me in the dress on Facebook,” the bride said.

And if you thought it couldn’t get any worse, think again. Not only did this women post a picture of her “friend” in her wedding dress, she also tagged the bride-to-be’s fiancé in the post as well.

Rightfully so, the bride was horrified and said, “When I asked her to remove it, her response was ‘it doesn’t matter if he’s seen it. He’s a man so he will have forgotten what it looks like in 5 minutes time’. My dad had also seen it as well and it was going to be a surprise for him on the day too.”

Mumsnet users were quick to come to the bride’s defense. Many suggested she take away her bridesmaid role and de-friend her completely after her unexplainable actions.

For any future bridesmaids, just remember that wedding details should be kept off of social media unless told otherwise by the bride herself.
