Baby madness

The Duchess of Cambridge just welcomed a new little Prince, and it looks like the Middleton family has another reason to celebrate: Kate’s younger sister, Pippa, is reportedly expecting her first child with husband James Matthews. Bring on the babies!

The Sun reports the couple told their loved ones the good news “after her 12-week scan” last week.

“When Pippa found out she was pregnant, she was obviously thrilled and utterly overjoyed,” a friend told the paper. “Naturally, big sister Kate and parents, Carole and Michael, were the first people she told — James aside — and they could not have been more delighted.”

The friend added: “Pippa and James have always known they wanted children. They have made the most of their first few months of marriage and felt the time was right to expand their family.”

Congrats! Hmm, wonder if their baby will get any royal hand-me-downs.

Shania apologizes for saying she would’ve voted for Trump

In an interview with The Guardian that was published on Sunday, the country singer said that if she were able to vote for president of the United States, she could see herself voting for Trump.

“I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest,” she explained. But that didn’t impress many much, so in a series of tweets, so she took to Twitter to write an extensive apology.

Shania shouldn’t have to apologize for her opinion, but from this moment on, she might be thinking twice about discussing American politics.

Grey’s Anatomy has been renewed for a record 15th season

In a move that surprised no one, ABC has renewed Grey’s Anatomy for a 15th season, making it the longest-running primetime drama in the network’s history, reports Variety.

Grey’s Anatomy has a special place in my heart and millions of viewers feel the same way,” said President of ABC Entertainment Channing Dungey. “Thanks to fiercely loyal fans who have been on this journey since the beginning, and new generations of viewers who continue to discover the joy and drama of Grey Sloan Memorial, the show is as strong as ever.”

The renewal comes as longtime stars Jessica Capshaw and Sarah Drew — who play Arizona Robbins and April Kepner, respectively — officially wrapped their runs on Grey’s.

Grey’s joins ABC’s other previously announced renewals The Good Doctor, The Goldbergs, Roseanne and Modern Family.

A stalker broke into Taylor Swift’s home to shower and sleep

Taylor Swift has many homes to hang her hat in, so thankfully, she wasn’t in her Manhattan townhouse on Friday. A stalker, identified as 22-year-old Roger Alvarado, successfully gained access to her home with the help of a ladder. He smashed a window to gain entry, take a nap in her bed, and showered in her bathroom.

According to Page Six, the man was charged with felony stalking, along with burglary, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

It’s not the first time Swift has had to deal with stalkers. Last week, a Colorado man was arrested outside the singer’s Beverly Hills home with a knife, rope and ammunition. And a week before that, another guy allegedly robbed a bank in Connecticut, drove to Tay’s Rhode Island home and began throwing money over her fence. That happened on the same day another man was arrested trying to scale the wall of her Beverly Hills mansion. Um, please say her security team is stacked.

Verne Troyer passed away

Verne Troyer, best known for playing Dr. Evil’s Mini-Me in the Austin Powers movies, died on Saturday at the age of 49. A statement of the sad news was posted on his official Instagram.

It is with great sadness and incredibly heavy hearts to write that Verne passed away today. Verne was an extremely caring individual. He wanted to make everyone smile, be happy, and laugh. Anybody in need, he would help to any extent possible. Verne hoped he made a positive change with the platform he had and worked towards spreading that message everyday. He inspired people around the world with his drive, determination, and attitude. On film & television sets, commercial shoots, at comic-con’s & personal appearances, to his own YouTube videos, he was there to show everyone what he was capable of doing. Even though his stature was small and his parents often wondered if he’d be able to reach up and open doors on his own in his life, he went on to open more doors for himself and others than anyone could have imagined. He also touched more peoples hearts than he will ever know. Verne was also a fighter when it came to his own battles. Over the years he’s struggled and won, struggled and won, struggled and fought some more, but unfortunately this time was too much. During this recent time of adversity he was baptized while surrounded by his family. The family appreciates that they have this time to grieve privately. Depression and Suicide are very serious issues. You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside. Be kind to one another. And always know, it’s never too late to reach out to someone for help. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Verne’s name to either of his two favorite charities; The Starkey Hearing Foundation and Best Buddies. Photo by @paulmobleystudio
